Camera exercise

Camera Exercise

This is our first exercise. We were asked to show some techniques we have learned, such as:

  • Long shot
  • Medium shot
  • Close-up shot
  • Extreme close-up shot
  • Over the shoulder shot
  • High angle
  • Low angle
  • Birds Eye view
  • Tracking shot
  • Pan
  • Tilt
  • Rolling shot
  • Point of view shot
I believe we did a good work on this exercise as we have showed most of the shots we were asked to. Also, our presentation of the exercise, including editing shots and sound, went quite well and I would say that I am happy with the work we have done.
We have used at least one person in most of the shots so the shot itself would be more clear and easy to understand. We did not use anyone in a fewer shots as we did not feel a need to. In this video the camera was always held steady as we have used a tripod. To do the tracking shot we were also using dolly to make sure the shot is clear, not blurred or shaky.
This exercise went very well, however to make perfect shots there is a lot of experience needed, which we did not have as we were using camera for this type of recording for the first time.
